Your tasks

• Prepare data and information, write documentation and enter it into applications
• Processing orders related to the topic of PFAS
• Participation in ongoing projects and enforcement activities (tank systems, plant protection products)
• Field activities such as informative site inspections and sampling
• Collaboration with internal and external specialist offices, handling enquiries

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental or natural sciences (e.g. geography, environmental or resource management, earth sciences, environmental engineering)
• Interest in applied water protection
• Independent, active and careful working style
• Confident written expression and proficient use of MS Office products
• GIS experience, R-Studio and French language skills are an advantage
• Driving licence category B for field work

The AWA is responsible for water supply, wastewater disposal and waste management in the Canton of Bern. It supports municipalities or associations and has control, approval and supervisory functions. The Industry, Trade, Tank Systems department takes care of industrial and commercial wastewater and the storage and handling of water-hazardous liquids.
