Role:
Complex WLAN environments require someone with technical foresight and a desire to shape. As a Network Engineer: Wireless & Security, you take on the technical lead role for the entire WLAN architecture and drive its further development. You are called upon for demanding design questions or persistent troubleshooting cases. Close collaboration with network and security teams is part of your daily routine, as is the evaluation of new technologies.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the architecture and further development of the entire WLAN environment
You take on the technical lead role in projects related to wireless networks
You design and optimise WLAN environments for different site types, from branches to logistics centres
You analyse complex WLAN faults and develop sustainable solutions
In addition, you work closely with network and security teams and actively promote new technologies
Qualifications:
You have completed a vocational training (EFZ) in computer science; further education at HF, FH or university level is an advantage
Several years of experience in the enterprise WLAN environment are part of your profile
You have sound knowledge of WLAN technologies as well as experience in design, troubleshooting and optimisation of complex networks
You bring know-how in related systems such as Network Access Control, LAN/Switching; initial experience with automation via APIs and Python is a plus
Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are desirable but not mandatory
You are also prepared for occasional on-call duties and assignments outside regular office hours
Good German skills and basic knowledge of English complete your profile.
