About us
The Institute of Infectious Diseases combines medical services, teaching and research under one roof and covers the entire spectrum of microbiology. With 200 employees, it is the only university institute in Switzerland to unite all microbiological special disciplines.
The Institute of Infectious Diseases is the seat of the National Reference Centre for Pneumococci and the National Centre for Antibiotic Resistance on behalf of the Federal Office of Public Health. Our biosafety centre is a collaboration centre of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Your tasks
- Management of the IFIK secretariat and coordination of secretarial tasks
- Taking detailed minutes of meetings in German and English
- Advising and supporting, as well as providing information on various issues
- Preparation of reports and decision-making bases for the management
- Comprehensive clarifications of facts
- Supporting the institute management in operational and conceptual tasks by preparing decision-making bases
- Deputising for the HR administration of IFIK
Your profile
- Completed commercial training EFZ
- Several years of professional experience as an executive assistant
- High commitment, resilience and strong social skills
- Discretion and trustworthiness, as well as quick comprehension and initiative
- Native German speaker and good knowledge of English
- Solid IT user skills, especially in the Office suite
