The Role
As a Key Account Manager at MAZ, you will build up our active market development, especially for customised offers, and continuously develop it further. You identify new customers and market needs and build long-term relationships. From the first contact to the offer and the conclusion, you ensure that customer needs turn into concrete orders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Market Development: You actively approach companies, administrations, public institutions, state-affiliated enterprises, associations, non-profits, communication departments, and media houses and open up new customers.
- Customer Development: You identify and qualify leads, conduct initial and needs assessments, and build long-term customer relationships in close coordination with the CEO.
- Offer Development: You translate customer needs together with our Chief Product Officer (CPO) and course management into suitable further education offers.
- Offers & Closures: You prepare and calculate offers, follow up systematically, and win new and repeat orders.
- Sales Funnel & CRM: You build a professional sales funnel, maintain customer data, and ensure clear and binding follow-up processes.
- Market Feedback: You bring insights from customer conversations back to MAZ and thus provide important impulses for the further development and positioning of our offers.
- Customer Care: You accompany customers from the first contact to handover to the CPO, course management, and administration, ensuring a consistent customer experience.
Your Profile:
1. Sales & Customer Development
- B2B Experience: You have several years of experience in B2B sales, business development, key account management, or advisory customer development, ideally in the media and communication sector.
- Consulting Competence: You recognise customer needs, structure them, and develop concrete solutions together with our specialists.
- Relationship Management: You know how to build, maintain, and further develop long-term customer relationships.
- Closing Strength: You enjoy active market development, consistently pursue offers, and focus on measurable results.
2. Market & Offer Understanding
- Further Education & Communication: You are interested in topics such as journalism, communication, AI, media literacy, presentation skills, and further education.
- Conceptual Thinking: You can translate customer needs into tailored offers and work closely with internal specialists.
- Sales Processes: Experience with CRM, sales funnel, pipeline management, and systematic offer follow-up is an advantage.
- Communication: You communicate confidently in writing and orally and create convincing offers, offer documents, and customer correspondence.
3. Personality
- Customer Orientation: You have a strong service mindset and present yourself confidently to management, HR, communication officers, and public institutions.
- Entrepreneurial Thinking: You recognise opportunities, actively approach potential customers, and enjoy developing business.
- Reliability: You work independently, structured, and persistently and keep your pipeline in view.
- Team Orientation: You work closely with the CEO, CPO, course management, marketing, administration, and other specialists and understand sales as a shared task.
What We Offer You:
- The opportunity to actively build up and professionalise MAZ's market development.
- Lots of creative freedom at the interface of sales, further education, journalism, and communication.
- A broad network of media, companies, administrations, and public institutions.
- Close collaboration with management, marketing, our course management, and recognised specialists.
- A workplace in the heart of Lucerne as well as regular direct contact with customers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and prospectively nationwide.
