Operational Coordinator for Goods Reception
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) is looking for an operational coordinator for goods reception at a workload between 80% and 100%, for a permanent contract. The starting date is planned for 1st December 2026, or to be agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals and one of the best in the world. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading and European-scale role in medical care, medical research and training.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) has the mission to ensure that care, teaching and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient logistical operational services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilisation, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) has nearly 140 employees. Its main mission is to control the flow of goods and mail entering and leaving the institution. At the same time, its professional teams manage the stocks of care units, both on hospital floors and for operating theatres.
Mission
- You coordinate the activities of goods reception
- You manage the reception of all goods and postal parcels arriving at the dock, direct them to the correct recipient and ensure the management of returns to external suppliers
- You prepare goods and orders intended for distribution
- You check orders addressed to the delivery dock
- You perform the computerised reception of items and their re-labelling
- You ensure the unpacking of goods then the transfer and packaging in an ad hoc trolley
- You ensure that the rules in force within the sector (wearing professional attire, hand hygiene, use of equipment, etc.) are respected
- You participate in the integration of employees and their regular information on procedures and activities
- You ensure the order and cleanliness of the dock and its access points
- You may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a logistician or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 2 years of experience in logistics, in the field of goods reception
- You hold a forklift truck licence (tow trucks)
- You have completed training on load handling, an asset
- You have good knowledge of common office software tools
- You master the French language (minimum B2)
- You are organised, rigorous, autonomous, capable of respecting and managing priorities.
