About the job
Product Owner / Application Manager (80 - 100 %)
Your tasks
- As Product Owner, you take responsibility for "ePost", our central solution for the digital processing and distribution of incoming mail. You further develop the application together with the specialist departments and accompany it throughout its entire lifecycle. In future, you will take responsibility or deputise for other central applications.
- You maintain and prioritise the team backlog, specify professional and technical requirements, and accompany their implementation until productive introduction.
- You do not simply accept requirements: you question them critically, consider existing standards, and develop suitable solutions together with specialist departments and technical experts.
- In doing so, you work closely with process owners, product managers, technical service providers, and external suppliers.
- In addition to your role as Product Owner, you take on application responsibility. You keep an eye on operation, quality, technical dependencies, and the reliable support of business processes.
- You contribute to further developments, interfaces and integrations, as well as tests – especially regression tests –, releases, commissioning, and decommissioning.
- You coordinate necessary measures, ensure comprehensible documentation, and contribute to operating manuals, business continuity, as well as security and operational guidelines.
- You support the specialist departments in second-level support and conduct targeted training if required.
- In future, you will also deputise for another central application in the area of business and document management.
Your profile
- You have a training background in computer science or business informatics (FA, HF, FH) or comparable experience.
- You bring experience as a Product Owner, in application management, or in a comparable role. Experience as a Product Owner in a SAFe environment is an advantage.
- You can critically question, structure, and prioritise requirements and, taking existing standards into account, translate them into implementable solutions together with specialist departments and technical experts.
- You have a good technical understanding of operation, integration, and dependencies of applications.
- Ideally, you are familiar with Windows and Linux server environments as well as relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL. Knowledge of PowerShell or JavaScript is an advantage.
- Knowledge in document processing as well as business and document management is also an advantage.
- You work in a structured, responsible, and quality-conscious manner, communicate flawlessly in German, and have good English skills.
- You enjoy collaborating with internal specialist departments, technical experts, and external suppliers, as well as knowledge exchange within the team.
Our offer
- Attractive employment conditions and good social benefits
- Good training opportunities
- Annual working hours and the possibility of part-time work as well as home office after the probation period
- Versatile, responsible, and meaningful activity
- Pleasant environment in a committed team
