Responsibilities

• You will lead proceedings, conduct investigations and hearings in child and adult protection cases, and oversee the ongoing child and adult protection measures within your authority department.
• You will issue decisions independently and prepare collegial decisions.
• You will manage an authority department both professionally and in terms of personnel.
• You will contribute to the further development of the KESB in organisational and conceptual matters.
• You will maintain and expand your network with specialist agencies, institutions, and partner organisations, contributing with your professional manner to a positive image of the KESB among the public.

Profile

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work with several years of professional and leadership experience, ideally within a KESB.
• Interest and motivation for interdisciplinary collaboration with professionals from the fields of law and psychology.
• Enjoyment in leading an authority department consisting of a team of lawyers and an authority secretariat.
• High empathy and no fear of contact with people in all life situations.
• Trustworthy, communicative, loyal, and assertive.

The KESB of the City of Zurich is composed interdisciplinarily of a presidency, two vice presidencies, seven members, five substitute members, and the central services.
