The contribution you can make
- Ensure the operation of systems and vehicles within the deadline oriented to requirements, in particular Mercedes G-Class, SOFA, LAPV, Duro, GMTF, GSANF, Mercedes and IVECO trucks, Lanz & Marti / Goldhoffer trailers, Fassi / Palfinger loader cranes, Liebherr wheeled cranes as well as Renault brand coaches
- Monitor the readiness for use of systems and vehicles
- Initiate preventive maintenance work, repairs and inspections
- Ensure the priority use of defective vehicles in accordance with the tactical and logistical situation
- The functions of the cadres also include planning and management activities
What distinguishes you
- Completed apprenticeship as a car mechanic, truck mechanic, construction machinery mechanic, agricultural machinery mechanic, polymechanic or building locksmith
- Successfully completed recruit school / cadre school of the Swiss Army; female police officers with Swiss citizenship without basic military training receive military training appropriate to their function
- Civil driving licence (category B1; further categories depending on the function)
- For your own safety as well as the safety of comrades and to ensure good cooperation with Austrian colleagues and locally employed persons, knowledge of German (level depending on the function) and English (level depending on the function) is essential for this role
