Automotive mechatronics technicians perform system tests on commercial vehicles with combustion engines and alternative drive concepts as well as diagnostic work on mechatronic systems. They also carry out maintenance and repair work on vehicle systems. These systems include chassis, engine and drive as well as electrical, electronic, comfort, and safety systems. For commercial vehicles, compressed air systems are additionally checked and programmed, and among other things, trailer steering systems and the air suspension system are diagnosed.Requirements
- Completed upper secondary school, usually the highest school level
- AGVS aptitude test (www.agvs.ch)
- German, mathematics, and physics at least grade 4.5
