You can contribute in this role
- Ensure the required services of the J23 area within the framework of deployment planning and management for subsidiary operations of the army
- Support operations and deployment planning at the operational level domestically and abroad, and develop the intelligence service concept as well as prepare the specialist service orders for the direct subordinates of the Chief Kdo Op and the large units
- During situation monitoring, ensure the implementation of intelligence command and the coordination of intelligence gathering in the civil-military intelligence network at the operational level
- Ensure the analysis and assessment of threats, the contextualisation of the opponent's capabilities, capacities and intentions, as well as the assessment of hazards from the environment and surroundings in the planning and situation monitoring process of Kdo Op
- In the absence of the head of J23 Op, be responsible for the service delivery of the J23 area and be prepared to represent the head of J23 Op if necessary in the steering and management committees of MND and DPSA as well as in the action planning group of the Kdo Op staff
What makes you unique
- University degree at master’s level or equivalent education, preferably in law, business administration, history or political science
- Staff officer or company commander, ideally with general staff recommendation
- Two to three years of professional and/or FFD deployment experience
- Strong analytical, conceptual and networked thinking skills as well as high resilience, independence and sense of responsibility
- Active knowledge of at least two official languages and very good English skills

The Operations Command (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and deployments of the Swiss Army. The Kdo Op includes, among others, the Air Force, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. Around 40% of the approximately 2,500 employees are civilian – from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.
