Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Fullstack Java Developer and be a part of shaping the future of our technology stack.

The role requires a full-time on-site presence for the first 3 months due to the nature of the current project. Afterwards, flexibility is offered, with 1 fixed and 1 flexible remote day per week.

Here are some of the exciting tasks awaiting you:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and APIs.
  • Design and build service-oriented solutions on Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and optimise queries, schemas and indexes.
  • Create or optimise algorithms for data processing, transformation, and validation.
  • Integrate with other enterprise systems, using industry-standard integration technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure high-quality code that meet security and performance standards
  • Adhere to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly. Ensure timely bug fixes and improvements.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Propose technical solutions and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Participate in the enhancement of frontend components.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (product owners, other developers) to understand requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, Java advancements, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge within the team and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

A mix of the following is the person we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in Java development (Java 18+)
  • Strong experience with the Spring framework. Familiarity with Spring Security
  • Experience with reporting libraries (e.g. Jasper) is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL is a plus
  • Experience with HTTP REST APIs and general networking concepts
  • Good knowledge of modern front-end technologies, Angular is a plus
  • Knowledge of Docker; Kubernetes experience preferred
  • Good systems skills (Linux) are a plus
  • Delivery experience within an agile environment using Scrum
  • Familiar with source code management using Git
  • Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo)
  • You are methodological, autonomous, a fast learner and a team player
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in French and/or English
  • EPFL diploma or equivalent
