The Faculty of Psychology is one of seven faculties of the oldest university in Switzerland. With our core focus on Society & Choice and Health & Interventions, we are successful both nationally and internationally in our research and study programs. The newly established division of Youth Mental Health investigates mental health and the emergence of psychopathology with a focus on transdiagnostic symptoms of emotional dysregulation in children and adolescents. We use multimodal methodology, i.e., a combination of clinical, experimental, neurobiological, and ambulatory assessments to lay a foundation for innovative prevention.
Your position
Joint planning, coordination, and implementation of research projects in alignment with the focus areas of the division
Use of existing datasets to conduct advanced statistical analyses, including meta-analyses, to gain valuable insights into youth mental health
Documentation and training of staff and students in solutions for data collection and analysis
Coordination of professional exchange and workshops on best practices/open science
Collaboration in national and international partnerships
Presentation of research findings at (inter)national conferences and in international journals
Teaching activities, supervision of bachelor and master theses
Conceptualization, acquisition, and documentation of third-party funded projects, including the preparation of interim and final reports
Your profile
PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field (to be completed by the time of employment)
Interest in the research focus areas of the division for Youth Mental Health
Very good knowledge of statistical analysis methods (e.g., multilevel models, structural equation modeling, machine learning) and statistical software (e.g., R, Mplus)
Proficiency in English language (both written and spoken)
Interest in teaching, experience in student supervision (Bachelor's and Master's theses)
Experience in planning, conducting, and analyzing intensive longitudinal and/or smartphone-based studies are desirable
Experience in identifying and utilizing existing datasets, in collaboration with international research teams, is an advantage
Experience with prevention and interventions and/or clinical experiences are a plus
Ability to work in a team, communication skills, organizational skills
