Legal Intern (60-80%) - Semiconductor Sector - 9 months
Purpose of the Role
Enable the Legal & Compliance team to operate efficiently in an international industrial environment by supporting contract work, compliance processes, and legal research. The role offers hands‑on involvement in real legal matters within a small team, providing direct exposure to the legal complexities of a global high‑tech manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and draft standard commercial agreements.
- Support contract redlining, document comparisons, and clarification of contract language.
- Conduct legal research in areas such as trade compliance, export controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal compliance activities, including data privacy and corporate governance.
- Prepare routine internal documents such as meeting minutes, templates, and short memos.
- Maintain legal databases, contract records, and clause libraries.
- Support risk‑related research regarding liability, suppliers, and product‑specific obligations.
- Collaborate with internal departments when legal or documentation questions arise.
- Assist with day‑to‑day administrative and legal coordination tasks.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in Law.
- Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Structured and reliable working style.
- Motivation to take ownership of tasks, willingness to learn quickly, and the ability to proactively contribute in a small, hands‑on Legal team.
- Beneficial: experience with AI tools (e.g., Copilot), strong MS Office skills, and basic knowledge of commercial contract or export control topics.
