Medical Director – Diabetes/AID Systems (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
The Medical Affairs department connects clinical science, medical expertise, and real-world application to support the successful development, differentiation, and adoption of innovative diabetes technologies. Through clinical evidence, scientific engagement, medical strategy, training and education, as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the department enables safe, effective, and patient-centric solutions worldwide.
At the core of your role is ensuring the safe, effective, and consistent clinical application of our client’s innovative AID system across global markets. You will own the development and continuous evolution of the global Training & Education strategy, ensuring that healthcare professionals, affiliates, and internal stakeholders are equipped to support the optimal use of the company’s technologies. Through close collaboration with the key departments, including Product Management, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and external experts, you will translate clinical expertise into best practise, support product differentiation, and contribute to the successful adoption of our client’s solutions globally.
Beyond educational leadership, you will also serve as a trusted medical authority and sparring partner to key departments. Your medical insights will help shape product innovation and development, clinical differentiation, and long-term medical strategy. As an ambassador for the organization, you will represent the company at national and international congresses, scientific meetings, advisory boards, and further professional forums. In your role as a medical/scientific spokesperson you will build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, scientific societies, and other external stakeholders, further strengthening the company’s scientific reputation and market position.
As the leader of the Global Training & Education and Clinical Application team, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of clinical science, product development, and commercial execution. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Medical Affairs, you will be based at the company's Swiss headquarters, with a flexible hybrid working model. The role requires approximately 20% international travel.
Your identity
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial physician with substantial experience in diabetes technology, including AID systems, CGM, and digital diabetes solutions. You hold a medical degree and a certification in Endocrinology/Diabetology and have developed a strong track record either in clinical settings or within the MedTech industry. Your strategic mindset, analytical approach, and ability to communicate complex medical concepts make you an effective partner for both, internal and external stakeholders. You are confident in working across functions, creating alignment between stakeholders, and influencing decisions in collaboration with the key departments, and senior leadership.
