Head of Data Engineering 80-100%

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain a data platform (smartLAB) for R&D teams to manage and analyze data and deploy AI solutions
• Lead and inspire a global Data Engineering team to build and optimize scalable data systems
• Drive data projects using Scrum and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes
• Apply DevOps and CI/CD best practices to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability
• Maintain software tools (e.g. Python packages, web apps) for data handling and visualization
• Manage IT topics like DevOps, IT infrastructure (servers, VMs, PCs), Docker, Kubernetes, cybersecurity, and Infrastructure as Code

What you bring:

• Strong technical background in Python, data engineering, software development, and a solid understanding of AI and machine learning
• Proven leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing technical teams is required
• Analytical mindset with a structured approach to solving complex problems
• Clear and confident communicator, able to translate tech into impact
• Familiarity with agile methods like Scrum and openness to learning new tools and technologies
• Fluent in English is a must; German or French are a plus
