For the Novel Agents department of our research center based in Geneva (Switzerland), we are looking for a :

 

Chemist (F/M)

Mission:

• Contribute to the chemistry laboratory activities through the preparation of peptides and lipid-peptide conjugates supporting the ongoing R&D projects

Activities:

Under the responsibility of the Novel Agent Department Manager, you will have to perform the following tasks:

• Design, plan and prepare relevant synthetic peptides using solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS)
• Conjugate peptide/protein ligands with PEGylated lipids
• Develop suitable methods to analyze, purify and characterize compounds of interest
• Formulate and characterize peptide and lipid-based delivery systems for ultrasound biomedical applications
• Coordinate and closely interact with in-house and external CMOs teams to fulfill R&D projects requirements
• Compile experimental results and edit scientific reports and presentations
• Ensure the maintenance of laboratory instrumentation
• Teamwork oriented

Qualifications:

• Accomplished Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, organic chemistry, or related fields
• Strong knowledge in organic synthesis and its associated analytical characterization tools (HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, etc.)
• Ability to provide expertise and establish experimental protocols
• Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills (protocols and scientific reports)
• Fluency in French & English (both oral and written) 
• Extremely motivated, with rigorous work habits and problem-solving abilities
