We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to collaborate closely with the executive leadership team, providing financial insights and guidance to drive business performance and strategic initiatives. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of the life sciences sector, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Senior Finance Business Partner
Your tasks
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership, offering financial insights that inform strategic decisions and drive business growth
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Commercial, and Operations, to align financial strategies with business objectives and ensure financial targets are met
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and market dynamics
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
- Investment Evaluation: Assess business cases for new investments, product launches, and market expansions, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Your profile
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) are highly desirable
- Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance roles within the life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries, with at least 5 years in a senior finance business partnering capacity
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Experience with financial planning and analysis tools is advantageous
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders to drive business outcomes
