This works well in the company
Nepotism and patting each other's back

I worked at this company for several years. During my employment I experienced repeated workplace bullying, verbal abuse, and inappropriate behavior from a colleague, including comments of a sexual nature. I reported the behavior through the appropriate channels and provided written evidence. Despite being assured that the matter would be taken seriously, I did not see effective action taken to address the situation or protect me from further mistreatment. Over time, the behavior escalated and I felt increasingly unsupported. My concerns were minimized, and I was actively pressured to continue interacting with the individual involved despite the circumstances. This experience significantly affected my trust in the company's ability to handle reports of harassment and abusive workplace behavior. Others may have had different experiences, but based on my own, I would encourage prospective employees to carefully consider how the organization responds when serious concerns are raised.

This works well in the company
If you’re good at self-dealing and making friends, you’ll go far and be compensated well. This role suits the type of person who sees everything as a zero-sum game.

Forced return to a disorganized office where it’s very difficult to actually sit with your colleagues. Managers have fallen back into the familiar pattern of locking themselves into exclusive private offices to avoid plebeian contact in the open office distraction factory. Your end of year performance review is now written by AI based on feedback that you personally collect. There are often 7 layers of management below the CEO, so expect to be micro-managed and any feedback from you to go unnoticed. Bonus is paltry for those beneath the Executive Director level and you must provide your own laptop, phone, without any real compensation (a portion of the standard expected salary is allocated for these expenses). Many roles are now being moved to Poland and India, including senior management levels. The trend is clearly moving away from Swiss based employees, especially for IT roles.

This works well in the company
The vast majority of employees are competent and actually intrinsically motivated. The potential would be enormous if only management were in keeping with the times. But those who can, leave this unhealthy environment.

Disastrous management in WM Switzerland. All they care about is their own bonus and "managing" any statistics (KPIs) for it. For client advisors extreme employment and bureaucracy internally. Micro-management without end. Less and less time for customers. Authoritarian management style from the very top. Conformist and opportunistic middle management. Pilot projects always have to be a success, otherwise the boss's boss won't think anything good of him/her. Employees are burnt out. On paper, critical thinking encourages "challenge", but anyone who does so and criticizes something or makes suggestions for improvement must expect all kinds of reprisals, up to and including dismissal. Increasing customer dissatisfaction due to constant price increases and service reductions.
