What you can achieve
* Implementation, operation and troubleshooting of complex network and security infrastructures
* Configuration, commissioning and fault analysis in network, firewall and security environments
* Implementation and demonstration of solutions in virtualised network environments
* Active and independent participation in complex projects for RUAG and its customers
* Implementation, configuration and maintenance of network monitoring tools, including defining metrics, alerts and dashboards, integrating solutions into network infrastructures and optimising systems for proactive problem detection
* Contribution to the continuous improvement of network and security services
What you bring with you
* Degree in computer science, ideally with ICT-specific further training
* At least 5+ years of experience in networking, Cisco CCNA level or equivalent knowledge in routing and switching is necessary
* Firewall and security knowledge with practical experience in configuration and commissioning
* Practical experience with Cisco and Check Point Maestro product families
* Knowledge of storage systems, databases and experience with virtualisation is an advantage
* Analytical and solution-oriented thinking with initiative and assertiveness
* Communicative, committed and reliable team player with strong service and customer orientation
* Very good German skills, good English skills (B2)
* Willingness for on-call duty, standby and irregular working hours if required (Class B driving licence)
