Do you bring clarity to complex cost issues and keep an overview? In the BVD Cost Specialist Support, you take responsibility for enforcement and health costs. You ensure correct allocations, process invoices, and support specialist offices so that costs in enforcement are handled correctly, transparently, and efficiently.

Your tasks

• Processing of health, ancillary, and therapy costs as well as checking and coding of invoices
• Determination and verification of subsidiary cost bearers including recording in GINA
• Triage and processing of creditor invoices in the SAP workflow
• Checking enforcement and measure costs as well as clarifying responsibilities
• Handling enquiries, reminders, and creation of recoveries
• Advising case managers and collaborating with the Cost Specialist Office, handbook, and training

Your profile

• Commercial or medical basic training (e.g. MPA, ZPA) with experience in administration
• Ideally with professional experience in social insurance, social services, or medical practice environment (e.g. doctor or dental practice)
• Very good IT user skills
• Very good German or French skills with good knowledge of the other language
• Analytical thinking and confident grasp of complex issues
• Independent, careful, and responsible working style

About the Probation and Enforcement Services

The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) are part of the Office for the Enforcement of Sentences of the Canton of Bern. They implement court-imposed sentences and enforce custodial sentences and criminal measures – outpatient, inpatient, or in special forms such as community service, semi-detention, or electronic monitoring.
At the same time, the BVD take on probation assistance. They support convicted persons in integration and help prevent recidivism. Their goal: a safe and sustainable return to society. From the start of enforcement to release, they accompany each case with clear responsibility.
The BVD Specialist Support area clarifies and manages cost issues in the justice enforcement system. It checks invoices and cost bearers, ensures correct handling of personal expenses, and supports professionals and authorities. It also optimises processes and works closely with finance and legal services.
