What you bring:

• Minimum age 24 years and interest in training in the field of social pedagogy
• Patience and willingness to work with heterogeneous groups and young people with different learning and behavioural prerequisites
• Enjoyment in supporting, motivating, and accompanying young people in their learning and development, enjoyment of sport and movement as well as the ability to inspire young people for these activities
• Interest in working with behaviourally challenging male youths
• Empathy, flexibility, patience, and teamwork skills, willingness to engage with new and challenging situations and to reflect on one’s own actions

Your working environment

The Youth Home Aarburg is an institution for the enforcement of civil and juvenile criminal law measures. It admits male youths and young adults who are at risk in their development. Through pedagogical and therapeutic measures, the staff support clients in integrating into social order. Additionally, specific educational and vocational offerings provide a foundation for young people to prepare for a self-responsible, offence-free life.

From 1 February 2027, we offer a six-month pre-internship in social pedagogy in a closed school setting - daily structure and care. The placement is mainly in our school and vocational preparation group as well as in the closed residential group. The internship comprises a workload of 80-100%. Working hours are Monday to Friday and are aligned with the young people’s school hours.
