What you do
- You manage the entire lifecycle of software assets and ensure a reliable licence and contract data basis including audit and compliance capability. This includes procurement, usage, optimisation, renewals and decommissioning
- You create transparency over software costs, develop reliable forecasts and prepare business cases. Additionally, you identify concrete optimisation and saving opportunities
- You manage software-related contract and licence issues and support complex negotiations. You work closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Group SAM and manufacturers
- You regularly assess the health of the SAM framework and report structuredly to management. This includes compliance, renewals, audit readiness as well as contract and vendor risks
- You track developments in manufacturer licence models, SaaS/Cloud, AI/Copilot licensing and FinOps. From this, you derive recommendations and advise Digital Product Managers and executives as a trusted advisor
What you bring
- Several years of experience in licence and software contract management, ideally in a complex corporate environment. References from industry or finance sectors are advantageous
- Expert knowledge in Software Asset Management, Software Licensing, Contract Management, IT Financial Management, Cost Optimisation and Vendor Management. You are proficient in Microsoft licensing and have experience with AI tools, Flexera and ServiceNow
- Proven successes in cost savings and optimisation initiatives as well as advanced knowledge in Governance & Compliance, Risk Management, Business Case Development and Data Analytics
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management. You build relationships, create alignment and communicate factually and convincingly, also at management level and in cross-departmental committees
- Ownership mentality with strategic and economic thinking. You actively drive topics forward, recognise risks and trends early, question costs and develop forward-looking recommendations for the further development of the software portfolio
