For our Café-Bar Abaton, located in the vibrant west of Zurich, we are looking for service-oriented personalities from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement who inspire our guests with outstanding service and create an incomparable ambience in which our guests feel completely comfortable.
All-rounder Bar/Catering (m/f/d)
The position is paid hourly and we have both on-call shifts and a fixed weekend shift to offer.
It is important that you are flexible and can work especially on weekends, evenings and public holidays. If needed, additional free shifts are available during the week. You will receive a corresponding request each time and can sign up for available shifts.
Your area of responsibility
- Ensuring smooth, competent and professional guest service
- Friendly and competent care and advice for guests
- Proactive sale of food and beverage offerings as well as targeted recommendations to increase additional sales
- Proper preparation and professional serving of drinks and snacks
- Compliance with service standards and hygiene guidelines
- Carrying out cleaning tasks
- Inventory management
- Responsibility for the cash register and ensuring correct accounting
- Independent planning, organisation and supervision of events including catering and service area as well as pre- and post-processing
Your profile
- Working on weekends and public holidays is no problem for you
- Ideally, you have some professional experience in service, bar or gastronomy
- You are communicative and communicate fluently in German; additional languages are an advantage
- With your cheerful and open manner, you inspire our guests
- We can rely on you and your independent and service-oriented way of working
- You remain calm and act proactively even in hectic situations
- You enjoy working in a team, show your active willingness to help and share your knowledge proactively
- Good manners and a neat appearance are a matter of course for you
