Research Fundraiser 80-100% (a)
The Future Fund is Empa's fundraising team. It successfully raises private third-party funds to finance excellent research projects and infrastructures. Thanks to this support, numerous additional projects in medical and sustainability research have been realized in recent years, enabling young talents to start their scientific careers.
Your tasks
Major Donor and Foundation Fundraising:
- Review of internal research projects
- In collaboration with researchers: preparation of project documents and reports on project progress
- Research and identification of potential donors (foundations and private major donors)
- Acquisition process
- Administrative handling including contract and payment process
- Recording activities in the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Participation in the ongoing development of the fundraising strategy
- Organization and execution of visits and events for existing and potential funding partners
- Active involvement in maintaining and expanding Empa's fundraising network (including participation in external events)
- Creation of fundraising content for Empa's communication channels
Your profile
- University of applied sciences or university degree or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in fundraising (advantageous), communication, marketing, or sales
- Competent handling of internal and external stakeholders
- Communicative and service-oriented personality
- Strong interest in scientific topics, especially medical research
- Confident use of common digital tools including CRM systems
- Very good written and spoken skills in German and English

The desired starting date is 01.09.26. The main workplace will be St. Gallen; presence at the Dübendorf site at least one day per week is required.
