On behalf of the city of Bern, it provides places in collective accommodation for people from the asylum and refugee sector. The collective accommodation (KU) Tiefenau offers places for 492 refugees.Your tasks
- Counter service during the night and at weekends
- Regular patrols in and around the building
- Operating the telephone and fire alarm system
- Contact person for the residents
- Triage in emergency situations
- Enforcing the house rules
- Checking cleaning work in the evening and at weekends
- Carrying out tasks from the day team
- Visitor control and directing visitors after visiting hours
- Presence control
Your profile
- Completed vocational training or experience in this position
- Good knowledge of German, other foreign language skills an advantage
- Cross-cultural communication skills
- IT skills in MS Office
- First aid course or refresher, not older than 2 years
- Flexible, resilient and service-oriented
- Compliance with data protection
- Experience with crisis situations as well as issues of violence and trauma
- Maintains humour and a cool head even in hectic times
- Identification with the values and mission statement of the Salvation Army
- Unproblematic criminal record extract
