System Engineer (m/f/d)
The SME based at Lake Constance is one of the most significant IT service providers in the border region. You can expect a unique team and even more exciting tasks.
Role:
You don’t just want to manage IT systems but actively develop modern infrastructures? We are looking for a technically skilled System Engineer who confidently operates Microsoft environments, resolves complex faults, and takes responsibility in building new platforms.
Responsibilities:
Operation and continuous optimisation of modern IT infrastructures for demanding clients
Administration and further development of Windows Server and client environments
Support of central Microsoft services and infrastructure components
Management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies, and file services
Administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure-based services
Support and optimisation of virtualised server landscapes
Ensuring reliable backup, restore, and recovery processes
Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults at 2nd and 3rd level
Monitoring of systems, services, and infrastructure components
Identification of optimisation potentials and implementation of sustainable improvements
Participation in migrations, modernisations, and technical rollouts
Taking over own sub-projects from technical conception to implementation
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational standards
Qualifications:
Training in computer science or solid several years of professional experience in system engineering
Good to very good knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure environment
Practical experience with Windows Server and client systems
Confident handling of Active Directory and basic network services
Experience with virtualisation, backup, and cloud technologies
Good knowledge in the area of network and IT infrastructure
Experience in analysing complex technical problems
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
Willingness to take technical responsibility for projects and infrastructure components
Enjoyment of new technologies and continuous development
