IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
When network, security, messaging, and infrastructure come together, it becomes technically interesting. In this role, you ensure that complex customer environments function reliably – from initial commissioning to demanding 3rd-level support.
Responsibilities:
Customers & Integration: Support of technical installations and commissioning
3rd Level: Analysis and resolution of complex support and fault cases
Network: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, NAT, and virtual networks
Security: Authentication, encryption, AD, and security mechanisms
Messaging: Mail flow, SMTP, IMAP, Microsoft 365, MX, SPF, and DKIM
Virtualisation: VMware, virtual servers, switches, bridges, and interfaces
Systems: Linux and Windows environments
Development: Participation in testing and further development of technical appliances
Documentation: Clean and comprehensible operational documentation
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in system engineering
Very good knowledge of network and infrastructure technologies
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
Solid knowledge in mail and messaging infrastructures
Practical experience with VMware and virtualised network environments
Understanding of APIs, LDAP, SAML, and web technologies
Experience in 3rd-level support and structured troubleshooting
Independent and solution-oriented working style
