For an established company in the Swiss financial sector, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced professional for the development and operation of a cloud data platform.

Senior Data Platform Engineer (Azure / DevOps) – 100%, Hybrid

Job description:

• You operate and expand a productive data platform in Azure.
• You manage cloud resources, especially Storage Accounts and Kubernetes Services, using Terraform, Helm and GitLab.
• You automate build, test and release processes for reliable deployments.
• You develop technical concepts for data integration, such as with Kafka, Spark, APIs and batch processing, and coordinate these with architecture and IT security.
• You set up monitoring and alerting, analyse operational issues and support connected applications with integration.

About the customer:

You work in a DevOps team that provides data for analytical applications and further develop the platform with new possibilities for data integration and a data catalogue.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience with productive cloud data platforms and lakehouse technologies such as Iceberg or Delta in an enterprise environment
• Solid practical experience with Azure or comparable cloud services as well as with Git, GitLab, Docker, Terraform and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of authentication and authorisation, especially Entra ID, RBAC and OAuth
• Experience in software development with Python and/or Java
• Ability to clearly represent architectural decisions and consider regulatory requirements
• German at C2 level and English at least at B2 level
