Do you want to actively shape process efficiency in P&C underwriting and enjoy optimising, automating and digitising end-to-end processes? With your drive, implementation strength and eye for the big picture, do you reliably bring about change?

In this role, you are part of the Underwriting business unit in the Workflow Efficiency & Business Support team and actively shape the further development of Zurich Switzerland. The position is available due to a replacement, as the previous incumbent is retiring after many years at Zurich. Together with your team of nine experts, you ensure that our underwriting processes are consistently focused on efficiency and customer excellence. In close exchange with product management, market-facing underwriting and IT, you develop a clear strategic direction and independently translate it into concrete, effective measures. With your project management, business, IT and architecture expertise, you bring both professional and technical know-how - and ensure a tangible impact in everyday work.

What to expect

• You lead, develop and coach a committed team in business analysis, product ownership, business architecture and business support
• You support your team with your professional and technical expertise and implement optimisations yourself if necessary
• You design new P&C processes and continuously improve existing ones - focusing on user/customer experience, quality and efficiency - even in a complex system landscape
• You drive digitalisation forward and use modern technologies, including AI
• Together with your team, you ensure business support for the workflow system Pega and the new policy administration system Guidewire for various business areas

What sets you apart

• University degree or equivalent qualification in business administration or business informatics - ideally with a focus on process management
• Several years of experience in the private insurance business in an IT-related environment as a project manager, business analyst, business architect or requirements engineer, preferably in P&C underwriting
• Ability to develop C-level strategies, combined with a strong stakeholder and team player mentality and willingness to delve deeply into complex topics
• Very strong analytical and conceptual skills, excellent organisational abilities, leadership qualities as well as convincing presentation and communication skills
• Fluent German and English skills
