Junior IT Project Manager
About the Position
As a Junior IT Project Manager, you take on a versatile role at the interface between software development, technical project coordination and customer support.
You actively work on technical solutions, manage backend systems and databases, and coordinate IT projects with customers and internal stakeholders.
Your Tasks
- Manage backend & databases: Collaborate on the backend as well as maintain SQL databases and cloud infrastructure.
- Coordinate customer projects: Independently manage IT projects from initial planning to successful implementation.
- Conduct workshops & presentations: Prepare technical content clearly and present it to professional audiences and customers.
- Provide B2B support: Competently advise and support financial institutions on technical questions regarding the software.
- Ensure end-user support: Respond to inquiries about the tax platform – flexibly, if necessary, also on weekends.
Requirements
- Completed studies in computer science/business informatics or completed training as IT specialist EFZ application development
- At least 2 years of practical experience in software development, ideally with a focus on backend
- Good SQL skills and practical experience with relational databases
- Experience with at least one backend programming language, such as Java or C#/.NET
- Native-level German and fluent English (C1)
- Independent, proactive working style and strong communication skills
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with cloud infrastructures, especially Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of software architecture, APIs, interfaces and integration of various systems
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment, testing or incident management
- First experience in technical project coordination or B2B customer support
- Experience in conducting workshops or technical presentations
- Interest in financial and tax topics or initial experience in the financial sector
