Senior Engineer Secure Linux & Kubernetes Platforms (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
Security and stability of critical platforms are a focus of your work. You develop concepts for OS hardening, vulnerability management, certificates, secrets and privileged accounts and embed these in the platform architecture.
At the same time, you are responsible for the technical direction of RHEL/SLES and Kubernetes with SUSE Rancher/RKE2. High availability and scalability are central requirements of the 7x24 operation.
You implement automated infrastructure and delivery with Ansible/AWX, Infrastructure as Code and Forgejo CI/CD. You technically further develop existing playbooks, roles and collections as well as overarching DevOps standards.
From complex lifecycle projects to 3rd-level analyses to major incidents, you take responsibility for demanding technical issues. You coach involved teams, evaluate new technologies, contribute to the platform roadmap and participate in the 7x24 on-call service.
Qualifications:
Solid several years of experience in a senior role around Linux, Kubernetes, DevOps or platform engineering.
Deep technical understanding of RHEL/SLES, Kubernetes, Ansible/AWX, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD; experience with Rancher/RKE2 is ideal.
Practical experience in highly available and business-critical infrastructures as well as in their architecture, standardisation and automation.
Good knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls as well as the ability to independently make far-reaching technical platform decisions.
German written and spoken fluently (C2) and English at least B2; French B1, ITIL and relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Linux, cloud or open source are advantageous.
