Systems Manager / Requirements Engineer (m/f/d)
How do you stop a drone in mid-air? Our Rocken partner develops and produces intelligent interception systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. With electrically powered Sentinel systems reaching speeds of up to 230 km/h, the company protects critical infrastructures from unwanted aerial intruders. The solutions combine autonomous flight control, intelligent seeker heads, and modular design – from pure interception to controlled removal into safety zones. You don’t just think in individual components, but in connections. We are looking for a technically strong personality who connects requirements, architecture, development, and verification and leads complex systems in a structured way to technical maturity.
Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of a consistent system requirements architecture
Analysis of stakeholder needs and translation into technical system goals
Structuring complex requirements across system, software, and component levels
Definition of clear interfaces and dependencies between technical system elements
Establishing an end-to-end connection from requirements to verification
Assessment of requirement quality regarding clarity, completeness, consistency, and testability
Identification of technical conflicts and early resolution of critical dependencies
Support of technical reviews and architectural decisions
Collaboration with software engineering, QA, testing, project management, and other technical disciplines
Coordination of smaller engineering workstreams and cross-disciplinary clarification activities
Support in technical decision-making processes and milestone evaluations
Maintenance of system documentation, specifications, and technical evidence
Use of modern analysis tools to improve requirements, traceability, and engineering documentation
Utilisation of AI to support requirements analysis, consistency checks, and documentation tasks
Further development of engineering standards and development processes
Qualifications:
Technical or scientific university degree or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in systems engineering, requirements engineering, technical analysis, or a related function
Solid knowledge in handling complex technical requirements and system interrelations
Understanding of software development, system architecture, testing, and verification
Experience with traceability and structured change management
Ideally experience with safety-critical or regulated systems
Ability to analyse complex issues and present them clearly
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
Strong quality awareness and an eye for technical risks
Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and technical challenges
Confident presence in reviews and technical coordination
