About the job
Service Centre StartWeek & Assessment Year
The Assessment Year is the first year of the Bachelor's degree at the University of St.Gallen (HSG). The structure of the course and the examination system of the Assessment Year aim to provide students with fundamental subject knowledge, basic scientific qualifications, and self-learning skills, as well as an overview of subsequent specialisation options, to enable them for their studies at Bachelor and Master levels.
One week before the semester begins, the new students of the Assessment Year come together for the StartWeek on the campus of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) to familiarise themselves with the university environment. The StartWeek is an integral and curricular part of the Assessment Year. The overall goal of the StartWeek is to prepare first-year students content-wise and organisationally for their daily study routine during one week and to get to know the social and academic environment of the university.
We offer- Co-design of the course and the annual major event StartWeek
- Challenging and varied activities
- Collaboration in a dynamic and motivated team
- Attractive working environment on campus
In addition to commitment during the intensive preparation phase of the StartWeek, we expect 100% dedication during the StartWeek itself (annual working time). A longer-term commitment is desired. Start of position: from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
