The Legal and Coordination Division of the Tax Administration of the Canton of Bern offers lawyers (MLaw) a 6-month internship. This internship is recognised as an administrative internship in accordance with Art. 4 para. 2 of the Ordinance on the Bar Examination (APV).

Your tasks

• Independent processing of applications for reinstatement of deadlines, revision and correction
• Clarification of legal issues related to the assessment and collection of taxes (in particular tax law including tax criminal law, general administrative law as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law)
• Support in tax judicial proceedings before the Tax Appeals Commission, the Administrative Court and the Federal Court
• Further development of the tax administration's specialist information
• Participation in meetings and discussions

Your profile

• You have a completed law degree (MLaw); initial legal internship experience is an advantage
• You have an interest in tax law, administrative law and the willingness to further educate yourself in tax law
• You are analytical, have interconnected thinking and a confident and audience-appropriate writing style
• You show commitment, flexibility, and teamwork skills
• Good knowledge of the French language, spoken and written
