Senior Infrastructure & Container Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
Technical design and standardisation of a complex infrastructure with RHEL/SLES, Kubernetes and SUSE Rancher/RKE2 for highly available and scalable production environments.
Building and maintaining an end-to-end automation landscape: Ansible/AWX, Infrastructure as Code, playbooks, roles and collections as well as CI/CD pipelines on Forgejo and corresponding DevOps standards.
Planning and technical leadership of updates, upgrades, migrations and release changes as well as continuous development of the platform incorporating new technologies.
Comprehensive technical securing of the platform and support during critical operational events; this includes OS hardening, vulnerability management, certificates, secrets, privileged accounts, 3rd-level support and major incidents.
Consulting and coaching of technical stakeholders, co-designing the platform roadmap and participation in the 7x24 on-call service.
Qualifications:
Several years of solid professional experience in platform, Linux, DevOps or Kubernetes engineering and experience with business-critical system landscapes.
Very strong knowledge of Linux on RHEL/SLES as well as Kubernetes; know-how in Rancher/RKE2 is ideal.
Comprehensive experience with Ansible/AWX, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD and proven competence in complex infrastructure automation.
Profound knowledge in Linux/platform security, networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls as well as a strong ability to make independent technical decisions.
German written and spoken fluently (C2), English at least B2; French B1 is an advantage. ITIL and certifications in Kubernetes, Linux, cloud or open source are also considered a plus.
