You can contribute in this role

• Create, analyse and communicate the situation overview across the entire operational spectrum of the Service for Preventive Protection of the Army (DPSA)
• Interpret, compare, consolidate and evaluate data, identify gaps in the situation overview and derive targeted measures to close them
• Analyse threats such as espionage, sabotage and other unlawful acts and develop preventive protection concepts and measures
• Produce intelligence products and decision-making bases for the operational level and represent the military defence situation in expert committees
• Continuously monitor, assess and prepare the internal security situation of the army in a manner appropriate to the target group

What makes you unique

• Officer of the Swiss Army (at least Lieutenant), specialised training as an intelligence officer
• University/University of Applied Sciences degree (preferably in political science, criminology, law or psychology) or several years of functionally relevant professional experience in intelligence/state security or police sector
• Experience and skills at the operational level (staff work) are an advantage
• Strong analytical, methodological and editorial skills as well as communication appropriate to the level
• Good oral and written knowledge of a second official language as well as good English skills

In an ever-changing security situation, it is all the more important to recognise connections before others do. Through analysis, interpretation and prioritisation of information from various sources, you create the situation overview, identify risks and lay the foundation for preventive protection measures to be targeted and effective.
The Service for Preventive Protection of the Army (DPSA) forms the first line of defence of the army. It monitors and assesses the military security situation and takes precautionary measures to protect the army from espionage, sabotage and other unlawful acts.

The Operations Command (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and missions of the Swiss Army. The Kdo Op includes, among others, the Air Force, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. Around 40% of the approximately 2,500 employees are civilian – from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.
