About the job
Do you want to be responsible for digital products that are actually used in the daily operations of our road traffic offices and citizens? Do you enjoy working at the interface between business, technology and people – in a structured, pragmatic way with an overview? And would you like not only to gather requirements but also to shape, decide and lead a team professionally? – Then this position might be for you.
Your role
As a Business Analyst & Product Owner, you are responsible for a business domain around Viacar V20 – the central specialist application with which five road traffic offices manage, for example, vehicles, owners and driving licences – as well as connected internet and API-based applications.
You are part of our delivery team and work in a SAFe environment. In doing so, you lead a specialist team of employees from the road traffic offices (StVA) professionally – without disciplinary authority – and manage the development teams of our partners in Switzerland and Vietnam.
Your tasks
- Shape the domain and clarify requirements: You define processes, rules and the target vision of your domain. You gather requirements from the StVA, analyse dependencies and impacts (e.g. via data analyses, logs, interfaces), are responsible for the business specifications (creation or acceptance) as well as the interfaces to third-party systems.
- Manage product and backlog: You translate business goals into a product roadmap and are responsible for the product backlog – prioritising according to benefit, cost-effectiveness, risk and dependencies as well as the business design of features and user stories.
- Lead teams professionally: You lead the specialist team of employees from the StVA. You manage the development teams of our partners (national and international) with clear requirements, joint planning and progress control.
- Ensure implementation and quality: You accompany conception, implementation, testing and releases from the idea to productive use and ensure business acceptance (definition of done, acceptance criteria). You actively participate in SAFe events (PI planning, refinements, system demos, inspect & adapt).
- Support operations: You contribute to the stable operation of existing applications and are the first point of contact for all business matters in your domain.
- Engage stakeholders: You create transparency about status, priorities and decisions – towards StVA, management and other stakeholders and organise and moderate workshops with customers and development partners.
Your profile
- Degree in computer science/ICT, business informatics or business analysis (FH/Uni) or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in business analysis and product responsibility (e.g. as a product owner) for technically complex applications
- Confident handling of agile methods as well as tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Basic technical understanding (e.g. APIs, data models, system landscapes) and initial experience in testing – you also test yourself
- The ability to clearly structure and communicate complex business and technical topics
- Strong stakeholder management: You align expectations, create transparency and lead teams professionally – even without disciplinary authority
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills
Advantageous
- Experience with SAFe as well as a certification such as SAFe POPM or IREB CPRE
- Experience from requirements gathering to productive introduction
- French language skills
