In the production kitchen of IG Arbeit, we produce and deliver menus, snacks, salads, soups and pastries made using the cook-and-chill method according to our own concept. Our customers include our bistro Esswerk as well as external staff restaurants, canteens and schools. In our IG Arbeit housekeeping operation, we offer jobs for around 12 people and provide services at the headquarters in the entire housekeeping area including cleaning and laundry.
Due to maternity cover, we are looking for temporary support in our team from 01.12.2026 to 31.07.2027. Until 31.01.2027 with a workload of 100% (40% housekeeping, 60% kitchen) and from 01.02.2027 to 31.07.2027 with a workload of 60% (kitchen) with the option of permanent employment.
Work Educator or Social Pedagogue in Gastronomy and Housekeeping (m/f/d)
You look forward to the following tasks
- Individual, targeted support and care of our employees with a performance impairment as a key contact person in housekeeping and the kitchen
- Planning, organisation and supervision of work processes in the daily operations of the production kitchen and housekeeping with a social and economic mandate
- Operational participation in the daily tasks of our production kitchen and housekeeping
- Ensuring smooth operational processes as well as taking on administrative and coordinating tasks
With this profile, you are exactly right with us
- Training in work education, social pedagogy or a comparable field HF/FH
- Basic training and professional experience in work education with a focus on gastronomy (ideally as a cook or in a related profession)
- Experience in vocational integration and support of people with impairments
- High social competence as well as appreciative and team-oriented working style
- Independent, structured and reliable personality
- Professional IT user skills (MS Office) and confident German in spoken and written form
