What you can contribute

• Collaborate in the operation of ICT systems for the deployments of the F-35A server and network infrastructure, databases and specialised applications
• Handle fault reports in first- and second-level support as well as escalate complex cases to specialised experts
• Perform recurring operational tasks such as backups and restorations, applying security updates, and operational checks according to defined guidelines
• Monitor systems, detect anomalies and initiate prescribed immediate measures
• Maintain operational documentation as well as configuration and inventory data
• Gradually take on your own areas of responsibility, accompanied by experienced specialists and targeted further training in the F-35 programme

What makes you unique

• Qualification in the field of computer science (EFZ, HF or Bachelor) or equivalent experience in an ICT environment
• Experience in system administration, for example user and rights management, fault handling and applying updates
• Basic knowledge of virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware) as well as backup and restore procedures
• Basic knowledge of network administration and databases, combined with the motivation to develop professionally in a demanding environment
• Structured, careful working style and enjoyment of collaboration in interdisciplinary teams
• Active knowledge of a second official language and good technical English skills for the international environment of the F-35A

In a nutshell

You will start where IT directly affects the operational readiness of the Air Force: with the ICT systems of the F-35A programme. Work with experienced specialists from the Cyber Command and the Air Force, gradually take on your own areas of responsibility and acquire the necessary certifications for this environment. You will acquire knowledge that only a few experts in Switzerland possess and contribute directly to Switzerland’s security through your work.

Additional information

The certifications CompTIA Security+ and Network+ are advantageous. Knowledge of the military environment is also beneficial. The systems are operated around the clock; occasional deployments outside regular working hours are part of the job. For deployments at various locations, you need a category B driving licence.
