To ensure a balanced team composition in shift work as well as for gender-specific care and security tasks, we are specifically seeking a female employee for this position.

Your tasks

• Dynamic security: You build relationships with the admitted persons, recognise tensions early and proactively de-escalate
• Daily structure: You manage the daily routine (deliveries, visits, walks, meals and much more) safely, consistently and respectfully
• Teamwork: You document precisely and work closely with internal and partly external specialist departments

Your profile

• Basis: Completed vocational training (EFZ); willingness to later train as a justice custody specialist
• Personality: Psychologically resilient, physically fit, communicative and strong in de-escalation
• Attributes: High social competence, confident German, good French skills (additional languages an advantage) and IT affinity
• Flexibility: Shift, night and weekend work is no problem for you
• Criminal record: A clean criminal record is required

About the Office of Justice Custody

The Office of Justice Custody (AJV) is responsible for open and closed penal and measure custody for adults and juveniles within the Security Directorate of the Canton of Bern (SID) with around 1000 employees. To fulfil this task, the office has four concordat justice custody institutions, four regional prisons, the surveillance station at Inselspital, the detention control centre as well as probation and enforcement services at its disposal.
