You can contribute to this role
- Shape Switzerland's relations with the European Union in the field of public health (including analysing health policy developments in the EU, preparing participation in high-level meetings, and targeted networking)
- Manage foreign and domestic political work related to the Switzerland-EU Health Agreement (including legal aspects)
- Represent health policy concerns related to existing bilateral agreements between Switzerland and the EU
- Handle political affairs related to Switzerland's relations with the EU in the health sector (Federal Council, Parliament)
- Represent the department's interests in other areas of responsibility (including Switzerland's relations with France in the field of public health, with corresponding contact in French, both spoken and written)
What makes you unique
- University degree, preferably in law or political science, and several years of professional experience in the federal administration and/or international environment
- Good knowledge of public administration and political processes in Switzerland
- Good knowledge of the EU and EU policy in the field of public health
- Good knowledge of Swiss policy in the field of public health
- Understanding of political contexts, strategic and interconnected thinking, good analytical and editorial skills, self-responsibility and teamwork
- Active knowledge of two official languages as well as very good English skills
