Are you looking for a challenge that offers you plenty of creative freedom? As a System Engineer, you take on responsibility from the start and have a direct impact on an IT landscape. Your daily work is varied, and you have the opportunity to implement a clean architecture and a high degree of standardisation. You are responsible for designing and operating an IT landscape that not only looks good on paper but also impresses in reality. Responsibilities:
You manage a modern landscape of servers and ensure efficient control through standardisation and smart management
In this role, you analyse problems precisely and quickly develop sustainable solutions to ensure system stability
As a System Engineer, you have the freedom to evaluate, test, and establish new technologies and smart tools with us
You contribute your expertise significantly to our internal IT projects and actively shape the architecture of tomorrow
You also provide support in client management when needed, whether to easily assist an internal customer or as part of holiday cover
You fairly share the on-call duties within the team and ensure smooth system stability outside regular hours
Qualifications:
You have completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist EFZ with a focus on system technology and further training in the IT field.
You are very confident in Linux, especially RHEL and Rocky Linux, as well as in Kubernetes with Rancher.
You have very good knowledge of VMware vSphere and Windows.
You have gained experience with Proxmox VE and modern enterprise storage solutions.
You work very independently and like to think outside the box, with a desire to learn new things and enjoy working in a team.
You communicate fluently and confidently in German, understand Swiss German effortlessly, and have very good English skills.
