About the job
You want digitalisation to be more than just a buzzword? So do we.
BGV is more than just an insurance company. We have professionals from prevention, fire brigade and insurance working together for the safety of the population in the Basel region. A positive and constructive collaboration shapes our daily work. This way, we combine different perspectives, areas of expertise and skills. To ensure this continues to work tomorrow, we are consistently expanding our processes and systems digitally. And for that, we need you: as a translator between departments, IT and project partners.
What you will achieve with us
- You analyse our business processes together with the departments and find out where things can be better, simpler or more digital.
- You gather needs from operations, question them, prioritise them – and turn them into clear, understandable requirements.
- You assess the benefits, feasibility and cost-effectiveness of new solutions and develop decision-making bases that really enable decisions to be made.
- You bring different project participants together and reconcile their interests, and if necessary, also take on project management tasks.
- You accompany digitalisation projects from the idea to implementation – including testing, acceptance and thorough documentation.
What you bring with you
- A completed vocational training (e.g. commercial basic education EFZ, IT specialist, media technician or digital business developer EFZ) or a university degree in business informatics – plus further training in business analysis, project management or digitalisation.
- Practical experience in business analysis and/or project management.
- A good sense for operational processes and genuine interest in current technologies.
- The ability to prepare complex topics in a structured way and find pragmatic solutions – even when things get operational or administrative.
- Negotiation skills, patience and enjoyment in working with very different people.
- Fluent German in spoken and written form.
