What you can contribute
- Plan and monitor database deployment; define system requirements
- Provide, operate, automate, engineer and re-engineer PostgreSQL databases and associated platforms
- Design and implement PostgreSQL databases on a variety of hardware infrastructures and operating systems
- Responsible for troubleshooting and tuning as well as ongoing operations; create migration plans for release upgrades/changes or transitions to other database software
- Advise and support system and application development regarding logical design, database technology and database operations; create and conduct workshops and technical documentation
What makes you unique
- Completed IT apprenticeship with a focus on platform development and/or relevant training as an Oracle database administrator; knowledge of Oracle databases is desirable
- Experience with operating systems and scripting (e.g. SQL, PSQL, shell scripting, Perl, Ansible), as well as hands-on experience with backup/recovery; know-how in database automation (Ansible, Bash, etc.) is an advantage
- Strong cooperation and communication skills; team-oriented and willingness to learn new technologies; logical/analytical thinking, ability to work independently
- Experience in technical project management or as a ScrumMaster is an advantage, as well as enjoyment of independent work in a motivated and highly competent agile team
- Very good knowledge of two official languages and desirable knowledge of English
