Role:
Security in the cloud does not happen by chance but through clean architecture and consistent automation. This is exactly where you come in as a Microsoft Azure Engineer, shaping a modern Microsoft Azure platform that serves as a reliable foundation for many teams. Your focus is on security, networking, and Zero Trust. With Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you bring speed and quality to every deployment. Technical depth and creative freedom go hand in hand in this position.
Responsibilities:
You automate deployments with Terraform and scripting and actively drive platform engineering forward.
You develop landing zones, network concepts, and Zero Trust models from the idea to stable operation.
You design and implement cloud architectures where security and networking are considered from the outset.
Furthermore, you implement and monitor security and compliance requirements, for example with Defender for Cloud, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and identity solutions.
You keep the platform operation stable and continuously develop it further.
Additionally, you support other teams during onboarding and are the first point of contact for architectural questions.
Qualifications:
You have several years of experience in the Azure environment, preferably with a focus on security and networking.
You hold a completed IT education at EFZ, HF, or FH level or an equivalent qualification.
You are proficient with Microsoft Defender, Azure security services, and SOC-related processes.
Moreover, you have successfully secured cloud platforms, especially in identity and access management (IAM), monitoring, compliance, and networking.
You feel at home in cloud engineering or DevOps and confidently write infrastructure as code.
You also understand modern operating models and platform architectures, and a certification such as Azure Administrator or Azure Security Engineer Associate rounds off your profile.
