The Volunteering Competence Centre is looking for a personality as a Specialist in Voluntary Engagement at 70% from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.What you can achieve
- You actively shape the volunteering work of the Swiss Red Cross and make a significant contribution to its strategic development
- You prepare decision-making bases, statements and professional recommendations for strategic committees and accompany the implementation of their mandates
- You advise and support Red Cross organisations throughout Switzerland on questions relating to volunteering
- You promote the implementation of guidelines and standards and contribute to quality assurance of volunteering within the SRC
- You strengthen knowledge and experience exchange and promote networking within the SRC as well as with partner organisations, specialist offices and research institutions
- You plan and coordinate projects, specialist events and working groups and create platforms for exchange, collaboration and joint learning
- You take professional responsibility for the further development of digital volunteer management in Salesforce
- You enhance the visibility and positioning of volunteering towards Red Cross organisations, authorities and the public
What you bring with you
- University or university of applied sciences degree in social sciences, international relations, psychology or a comparable field
- You have already worked on the development of a CRM system in volunteer management
- Several years of experience in volunteer management and committee work, ideally in a non-profit organisation
- You have experience in developing concepts, programmes and projects as well as in moderating and accompanying groups
- You are an initiative-taking, flexible, open personality with high social skills and interested in demanding volunteering work
- You enjoy dealing with various internal and external stakeholders
- You write stylistically confident texts and appreciate an independent working style
- Impeccable reputation proven by the current special private extract (can be requested/delivered after employment)
- You have excellent language skills in German or French (C2) as well as good skills (C1) in the other language; additional languages are an advantage
