The EB Interlaken team is looking for an educational counsellor or school psychologist (60 – 65 %), fixed-term until 28 February 2027, starting 1 December 2026.
Your tasks
In a small team with experienced colleagues, you will independently handle a variety of child and adolescent psychological issues.
Your main tasks include the psychological assessment of children and adolescents and their educational, school and/or social environment, advising families, caregivers, education officers and authorities, as well as the psychotherapeutic treatment of children, adolescents and families.
Your profile
We are looking for an initiative-taking, team-oriented, socially competent and flexible individual who enjoys working independently, efficiently and responsibly.
You are characterised by very good psychological resilience and excellent communication skills.
You hold a university degree in psychology as well as a diploma in educational counselling-school psychology from the Canton of Bern or an equivalent qualification and have knowledge of the Bernese school and education system.
In addition, you are interested in issues of cultural and school integration, have oral foreign language skills and solid IT competencies.

The Office for Kindergarten, Primary School and Counselling of the Directorate of Education and Culture manages the areas of kindergarten and primary school, the cantonal educational counselling, as well as the recognised music schools and school supervision of the German- and French-speaking parts of the canton.
The cantonal educational counselling supports and advises parents, children and adolescents as well as all persons and institutions responsible for the education and schooling of children and adolescents on questions and difficulties related to the development, education and training of children and adolescents from early childhood to the end of secondary level II education.
