About the job
We bring together AI expertise, engineering excellence and in-depth industry knowledge – driven by people who want to make a difference together. This leads to future-proof solutions that genuinely make a difference in our customers’ everyday lives. We achieve this through people who take responsibility, recognise opportunities and turn technological possibilities into tangible results. To this end, we create an environment characterised by mutual support: opportunities for professional development, open communities where knowledge is readily shared, peer groups and training programmes tailored to your needs. Trust, appreciation and successes celebrated together shape the way we work together and make personal development an integral part of our culture.
WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE
As a reliable sparring partner for all matters relating to employment and well-being in the workplace, you provide employees and Team Leads with advice and support. You create awareness of the company’s business situation and help every employee realize their full potential.
As an HR Generalist, you will share responsibility for the Lugano location and support our other locations:
- Responsibility for the entire employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including personnel administration, social insurance, payroll (including withholding taxes) and expenses, and close collaboration with our recruiting team
- Advising, supporting and assisting our employees and Team Leads with a wide range of HR-related matters
- Central HR Controlling
- Actively driving forward and operationally implementing our HR roadmap, contributing to HR projects and optimizing existing processes
- Ensuring the transfer of knowledge and the provision of training on HR processes and tools
General responsibilities
- Providing cover for colleagues and supporting the Location Management and Corporate Services teams, including reception, telephone services and infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with processes and procedures and reviewing their legal compliance, particularly in the areas of employment law, social insurance law, tax law, international regulations and the Swiss Data Protection Act; supporting the identification and monitoring of risks and preparing reports
- Supporting ISO and audit documentation, as well as maintaining communication tools such as Confluence, regulations, guidelines and templates
- Supporting the organization and running of employee events
HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED
#GrowTogether - that is our credo! Do you enjoy the wide range of activities involved in the employee life cycle? As a passionate and empathetic HR professional, are you eager to accompany our company on its continued journey of internationalization and growth? As a proactive doer with high-quality standards, are you energized by a dynamic working environment and keen not only to manage processes, but also to drive change?
In addition to sound HR expertise – including Swiss employment law, social insurance, payroll and, ideally, global mobility – you have strong numerical acumen and an analytical mindset. You are comfortable working with payroll data, HR controlling, reports and spreadsheets. Combined with your business acumen, strong communication skills and high degree of personal responsibility, you bring the following qualifications:
- Education: Commercial education with further training as an HR Specialist holding a Swiss Federal Diploma of Professional Education and Training
- Languages: Excellent language skills in Italian, fluent English and good German skills
- System knowledge: Sound knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of the Abacus ERP system is an advantage
For this role, regular presence in our Lugano office is expected. Occasional travel to other adesso locations may also be required, typically once a month, primarily to Zurich or Bern.
