Windows, Azure, PowerShell, and modern infrastructure belong together for you? We are looking for an experienced System Engineer who not only administers complex IT environments but actively automates, stabilises, and further develops them. A versatile role for technical personalities who enjoy infrastructure, cloud, and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of modern Windows server landscapes
Administration and optimisation of Active Directory, group policies, and central Windows services
Support of hybrid IT infrastructures with Microsoft Azure
Further development of Azure services and integration of existing on-premises systems
Automation of administrative processes with PowerShell
Development of reusable PowerShell scripts and automation solutions
Analysis and optimisation of system performance, availability, and stability
Planning and implementation of migrations, updates, and technical modernisations
Administration of virtualisation platforms and server infrastructures
Support of backup, recovery, and monitoring solutions
Implementation of modern identity and access management concepts
Participation in security hardening and securing Windows and cloud systems
Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults
Support in architecture and infrastructure projects
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational concepts
Evaluation of new Microsoft technologies and transfer of suitable solutions into productive operation
Qualifications:
Several years of experience as a System Engineer, Windows Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a comparable role
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
Solid experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
Very good PowerShell skills and enthusiasm for automation
Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID is an advantage
Knowledge of virtualisation, backup, monitoring, and network infrastructure
Understanding of IT security, hardening, and identity management
Experience with migrations and modernisation of established IT landscapes
Structured and analytical approach to complex technical problems
Independent working style and high quality standards
Willingness to actively drive technical topics forward
Education or degree in computer science, systems engineering, or comparable technical qualification
