Our mission: We secure your flight! We are looking for dedicated and qualified employees for our shop floor in various areas within the New Engines department at Zurich Airport. If you feel addressed by this, we look forward to your application as a Supervisor. As a Supervisor in New Engines (LEAP or GTF) you are responsible for building, leading, and further developing a high-performance team of about 20 to 25 employees. Your focus is on safety, quality, as well as adherence to deadlines and costs.
You coordinate your team's work closely with the relevant internal interfaces at SR Technics and ensure that all activities are consistently aligned with the organization's goals and missions.
Your Responsibilities
- Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring communication, implementation, and compliance with safety and quality policies within the organization, including Airworthiness Directives, manuals, and technical documentation
- Leading and developing a multicultural team, focusing on performance, commitment, and a positive working environment
- Establishing and further developing a performance-oriented corporate culture through regular target agreements and structured performance reviews. Application of the Performance Management Process (PMP) as well as motivating, employee-oriented leadership
- Resource planning and control to ensure high productivity as well as monitoring work and personnel efficiency
- Promoting employee development and qualification management to ensure capacity requirements (OJT, qualifications, certifications, performance evaluations)
- Implementing and promoting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and 5S to achieve organizational goals and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Participating in the preparation, execution, and responsibility for internal and external audits within your area of responsibility and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions and sustainable compliance improvements
Your Profile
- At least 3 years of professional experience in industrial manufacturing, including proven leadership and management responsibility; MRO experience is an advantage
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of operational processes as well as overarching contexts and dependencies in production environments
- Proactive, independent, and self-initiated working style with a high performance orientation and strong focus on continuous improvement
- Confident handling of maintenance-relevant documentation systems; good knowledge of Microsoft Office required, SAP is an advantage
- Very good communication and social skills with English skills at least at B2 level (German skills are an advantage)
